You could change it to get some exercise. A few simple stretches throughout the day can be very beneficial. I'd also suggest meditation and/or simply some quiet time to yourself. Not doing, just sitting quietly.

I think I read the first two chapters and saw how it could have been so much better (the first chapter was almosty unnecessary) so I gave up. Knoowing that there is an appeal beyond the detective story helps make sense of its popularity.
