I'm not *thankful* for homeschooling, but I did what I had to do to survive. That's what childhood is for a lot of queer kids. Survival. Enduring untold buckets of shit. Yeah, I stepped away for a little and tried homeschool. It did both harm and good. It's not a simple thing.
Not sure if I ever said but I was homeschooled for a time. I was having a baaaad time in public school (a closeted trans girl in the South w/ undiagnosed stuff). It wasn't perfect but it's what I needed to do at the time. The anti-homeschool jokes are mean and blanket anti statements are off-base.
