It’s really unfair to compare Israel with other western democracies. Since 1948 Israel has been in a constant state of war and all throughout has maintained a free press and respected the human rights of all its citizens. Show me another country that could do it better.

If Israel had no qualms about killing children and civilians then why would they send ground forces into Gaza. They could have flattened it from the air in two days. And why is the ratio of civilian to combatant deaths the lowest in recorded history? I find your argument deeply offensive.

Let me get this straight, Hamas launched a genocidal attack on Israel and then retreated back to Gaza with 200 hostages. They have 30,000 men under arms, 500 miles of fortified tunnels, thousands of rockets and military support from Iran. So yes, they didn’t have an army.
Give me proof that Israel is committing genocide. Actually, I’ll be satisfied with a convincing argument. Generally speaking, societies that wage existential war on their neighbors and take and hold hostages don’t usually fall under the category of genocide victims.
