As someone who has treated women with all kinds of depression: lifelong, perinatal, postpartum…any true expert understands the difference between “natural emotions” and depression. Not getting out of bed for over a week and self-deprecating AH are not natural. Suicide is real. Meds can save lives.

Louisiana ranks 2nd in Medicaid enrollment: 32% Of the 8 GOP-held House districts with the most Medicaid enrollees, 4 are in LA. Johnson is pushing for $880B in cuts from a pool of funding that includes Medicaid. In his district, where he won with 86% of the vote, 22% of residents live in poverty.

4) Adding a fourth: problems in our justice system are rampant. County run jails and courts have similar problems but there is a process to hold them accountable. Sadly, many do not have access to this. The work of the Innocence Project is a good reference point to better understand this.
