I don't get how people don't realize that a technology that replaces junior and entry level positions in a field destroys that field. There's no skipping steps. You have to be a junior before you can be a senior, and if you don't have senior people, you don't have a field.

True. It's one of a kind, studied the book in different translations too back then for the thesis, that was also interesting (there was some censorship going on with old german translations if I recall correctly). Glad to find another fan btw. ;)
Oh, that's really interesting! I actually did my final thesis about Roadside Picnic with a comic adaptation prototype. That feels like an eternity ago... It's my favorite book, too. 😊🙏

It's so well done on so many levels. The fact that we got that cast! That art direction! That bat mobile! Burton's Gotham is the only right Gotham imho and it is portrayed so well in this one, too.. with the animated series' version coming right after. Burton understood that it's not just New York.
Whether it's text or image, a small group of rich people are suggesting we should strive to view this morally reprehensible process of creating a bad copy by stealing thousands of originals as the right thing to do. This is not the peak of creative power but the killing of the human urge to create.

It was my first time really checking out Indie Arena this year, and it was my Gamescom highlight for sure. (Last time Gamescom was 2019, dont know if Indie arena was a thing already back then or before, I did not really notice it back then)

Love the quick lines and thick shadows. Especially on the upper right, but centered one has the best pose I think. Only thing that distracts me, is the fact that his shirt, folds and the neck opening, all lool like he's getting pulled. Intentional?

Yeah, same. I am always trying not to force it, which sometimes is hard to do, bc - like you, I assume - I draw for a living, so he also grows up, learning it is work, not just freetime fun. Important to teach him it can be both, I guess!

Yeah, I did a bunch of smaller canvas paintings before, portraits based on Tenet, Batman, and some other ips. I enjoy it, but it's very different to ink or digital, and it usually tends to take a lot more time until I am satisfied with the results.. xD
I can imagine! It's so cool that he's like also into illustration and art in general. The results are crazy good. The characters from the tiktok are his, too? My son is 8yo and I hope he's going to stick to art, too. Right now, he enjoys it, so... 🤞🥲

Keep in mind you actually can play it at two booths, Nintendo in hall 9 BUT also XBox in hall 7. I was there yesterday as a trade visitor and friends told me they waited one more hour at Nintendo (!) We waited for two hours at Xbox, btw. ;)
