Agreed. The only positive for me is that we look reasonably solid at the back….but we are garbage going fwd.

Not so sure tbh. Other teams have improved this year. I think it’s 10th.
King of the potato people (@kotpp11.bsky.social)
Another utter garbage away performance. This squad has a mentality issue, they just can’t be arsed to perform away from home. It’s mid table for us this year, big step backwards. #nufc
King of the potato people (@kotpp11.bsky.social)
This is a classic #nufc away performance. Howe has got to sort that out, they only seem to be up for games at St James’s.
King of the potato people (@kotpp11.bsky.social)
Bournemouth with 71% possession. That’s criminal. We are so passive away from home, it’s a fucking joke. #nufc
King of the potato people (@kotpp11.bsky.social)
It’s time for #nufc to actually perform against Bournemouth. They are one team that we’ve really struggled to raise our game against. Green kit, away from home….against Bournemouth. 👀😥
King of the potato people (@kotpp11.bsky.social) reply parent
£55m for a 29 year old who will miss a large section of each season for the cup of nations isn’t good value. Then add in his current injury and the fact Woltemade needs time to get used to the PL. It’s a bad bit of business especially given he will have zero resale value.
King of the potato people (@kotpp11.bsky.social)
Well, I’m afraid that team selection lost us that match, we start with a striker then we would have been leading by half time. Bournemouth away next, that’s a game that we ALWAYS lose. #nufc
King of the potato people (@kotpp11.bsky.social)
That’s a wasted 45 mins I’m afraid, the call to put Gordon up top instead of the new lad is crazy, especially with Elanga in that kind of form. With a striker on we would have been at least 1-0 up. Hopefully we don’t regret that. #nufc

Wissa out until Brighton. That deal looks like £55m down the drain, especially when you consider the fact he will be unavailable for a long spell due to the cup. The injury was just bad luck but it’s looking like a poor bit of business. An injury to Woltemade and we are back to square 1. #nufc
King of the potato people (@kotpp11.bsky.social)
Have you even known a team more spawny than Liverpool? #nufc

Great debut for the new lad, cracking header. Also, how good was that last ditch clearance from Schar? #nufc
King of the potato people (@kotpp11.bsky.social)
It’s hard to disagree. I’m a bit worried about this particular signing as the fans will expect him to pick up from Isak. He’s a totally different player and his output won’t be the same, he also needs time……which we don’t have, especially given Wissa is injured. #nufc
King of the potato people (@kotpp11.bsky.social)
So Wissa needs a specialist. That’s not a good sign. Watch him spend the next two months on the treatment table. Then just as he gets back into the team he will be off to the cup of nations. Lot of pressure on Woltemade already #nufc

King of the potato people (@kotpp11.bsky.social)
This is more clickbait nonsense from Lee Ryder. I’ll save you the read, there’s no buy back clause and they then suggest Anderson could cost us £100m to get him back. 😂 He’s good but £100m? Stop smoking crack. #nufc
King of the potato people (@kotpp11.bsky.social) reply parent
Agreed 👍 The surprise for me is that Howe didn’t put more trust in Anderson. Developing those kind of players should be his bread and butter.
King of the potato people (@kotpp11.bsky.social) reply parent
To be fair to the lad he’s not the first player to look shit during an international game. Germany aren’t playing to his strengths. He is a risk though, this one could go tits up.
King of the potato people (@kotpp11.bsky.social)
Watching the Germany game. Really not sure what to make of Woltemade. He’s not a number 9, that’s for sure. This German team are awful tho, they’ve got no idea how to play through the middle. #nufc
King of the potato people (@kotpp11.bsky.social) reply parent
King of the potato people (@kotpp11.bsky.social)
Forget Isak, the biggest villain at #nufc in recent times was Paul Mitchell for selling Anderson. What a fucking prat.

I read that we were as close as 30 seconds away from missing out on Wissa. Jesus wept, what a clusterfuck.
King of the potato people (@kotpp11.bsky.social)
A new CEO at last and one with some pedigree. DOF next please #nufc. I do find the timing odd, clearly neither wanted to be associated with this particular transfer window. 😂
King of the potato people (@kotpp11.bsky.social) reply parent
PSR doesn’t allow for long term planning. Clubs can develop home grown players / identify cheaper talent from the continent but the outcome is the same - they’ll be sold on, either to satisfy PSR or because the player can double their wages elsewhere. #AVFC & #NUFC etc are just feeder clubs.

King of the potato people (@kotpp11.bsky.social) reply parent
Liverpool played their part. They unsettled our best player, upended our transfer plans and eventually got what they wanted - but we allowed them to do all of that because we weren’t prepared in the slightest. A new DOF and CEO is now urgently needed to prevent this from happening again.
King of the potato people (@kotpp11.bsky.social) reply parent
Wissa, Woltemade etc might well turn out to be good signings but they weren’t our 1st, 2nd or even 3rd choice. The window opened on the 16th June and we didn’t get going until midway through July, almost a month sat on our hands. That’s cost us.
King of the potato people (@kotpp11.bsky.social)
Let’s not be delusional. This transfer window was a disaster from start to finish. From Paul Mitchell jumping ship, to our comical pursuit of Trafford and of course the “Isak situation”. A total clusterfuck. #nufc
King of the potato people (@kotpp11.bsky.social)
Right, now that clusterfuck of a transfer window is done please can we announce a new DOF and CEO? #nufc
King of the potato people (@kotpp11.bsky.social)
So has Osula gone then? #nufc
King of the potato people (@kotpp11.bsky.social)

King of the potato people (@kotpp11.bsky.social)
Crystal Palace chairman losing his club £30m 👏👏👏 #nufc
King of the potato people (@kotpp11.bsky.social)
If we are selling Osula then we need someone else to come in. Someone young who can develop. Going from 3 strikers to 2 isn’t ideal. #nufc
King of the potato people (@kotpp11.bsky.social)
Seems to me that Osula is being sacrificed to get that Wissa deal over the line. He seems like a nice lad but he just wasn’t good enough for this level. Good luck to him if he goes #nufc

King of the potato people (@kotpp11.bsky.social)
Fair play to Brentford. £55m for a 28 year old with one year left on his deal is a robbery but needs must. #nufc
King of the potato people (@kotpp11.bsky.social) reply parent
Depends. If Woltemade gets a bad injury or doesn’t hit the ground running then we will struggle. A loss of momentum (like finishing outside of the top 6) hurts us in a number of ways. That being said, if they get a capable second striker in before 7pm then things look much better.
King of the potato people (@kotpp11.bsky.social) reply parent
Why would Chelsea stop his move to BM only to let him go to us?
King of the potato people (@kotpp11.bsky.social) reply parent
It’s a tightrope. Woltemade will probably need time to get up to speed and it’s a big ask for him to come in and play every game. Osula isn’t good enough, Gordon isn’t a striker. We need a second striker.
King of the potato people (@kotpp11.bsky.social)
Watch all the pundits suddenly forget about Isak’s petulant behaviour. They’ll all be waxing lyrical about him over the next few days. Player power wins. #nufc
King of the potato people (@kotpp11.bsky.social)
Let’s just hope that #nufc have an agreement already in place for a second striker otherwise this Isak deal is a proper own goal.
King of the potato people (@kotpp11.bsky.social) reply parent
£150m is a take it or leave it price when you don’t have a replacement. Let’s see what happens, if we get in a second striker before the end of the day then fine. If we fail to do that then it’s a clusterfuck.
King of the potato people (@kotpp11.bsky.social) reply parent
I just hope we have a second striker lined up. Otherwise we are screwed.
King of the potato people (@kotpp11.bsky.social)
So Isak is gone. £130m. Means the pressure is all on us now to find a second striker. Going into a season with only one proper striker is suicidal #nufc
King of the potato people (@kotpp11.bsky.social)
So we are down to deadline day. #nufc would be crazy to let Isak go now. I can’t see us signing a striker and we can’t go into a season with only the new lad. Deals for JSL and Wissa look dead and I’m not sure id want Wissa anyway.
King of the potato people (@kotpp11.bsky.social) reply parent
I actually think it’s looking like he stays. We only sell him if we don’t sign a new striker and I’m not sure wolves will sell JSL and Brentford want too much for Wissa.
King of the potato people (@kotpp11.bsky.social) reply parent
They won’t bid because #nufc have probably told them that we need two strikers before he can go. We can’t let him go until we have another goal scorer in the squad.
King of the potato people (@kotpp11.bsky.social) reply parent
For me it’s essentially the same statement - “I’ve been lied to and I want to leave” They may well have told him that he can leave but under what circumstances? Isak hasn’t left us because Liverpool haven’t made what we would deep a satisfactory offer. It’s all open to interpretation.
King of the potato people (@kotpp11.bsky.social)
Wissa and Isak #nufc
King of the potato people (@kotpp11.bsky.social) reply parent
It’s a precedent that Isak has set now. Watch it start happening everywhere
King of the potato people (@kotpp11.bsky.social) reply parent
It’s pretty clear that he’s not good enough (yet). The best scenario is that he is loaned out, ideally abroad as I think he’d even struggle in the championship.
King of the potato people (@kotpp11.bsky.social) reply parent
He’s awful. So clearly not a PL player.
King of the potato people (@kotpp11.bsky.social) reply parent
The amount of points we drop away at bottom of the table teams is alarming. They’ve got to start performing in these type of games. They cant only turn up at St James’s.
King of the potato people (@kotpp11.bsky.social)
What a garbage performance against a shit Leeds side. Elanga is a worry for me because so far he looks like a waste of £55m. #nufc

King of the potato people (@kotpp11.bsky.social) reply parent
I think it’s definitely a strategy of clubs without PSR constraints. Chelsea are probably the biggest offenders, they are just stock piling players so that clubs like #nufc, Villa, Forest etc can’t get access to them. It’s corrupt as fuck.
King of the potato people (@kotpp11.bsky.social)
It’s painfully obvious that RA doesn’t rate Sesko so why did they buy him? It’s almost like clubs are just buying these players to prevent #nufc from having them….
King of the potato people (@kotpp11.bsky.social)
So according to TalkShite Eddie Howe will be a target for Man Utd in RA is sacked. 👀 Personally the only job I can see him leaving for is England but Man Utd are still a draw for players / managers. #nufc
King of the potato people (@kotpp11.bsky.social)
I’d much rather JSL than Wissa if I’m honest. Wissa has behaved in a similar way to Isak and he’s 28. Sinking £40m + on him just doesn’t make sense. JSL ticks more boxes. #nufc
King of the potato people (@kotpp11.bsky.social) reply parent
JSL strikes me as more of a traditional number 9. Woltenmade is younger and may need time to get up to the pace of the PL. If JSL is missing this weekend it would suggest that he’s on standby for a move. Wissa is 28 and I can’t see them moving fwd with that deal unless Brentford lower the fee.
King of the potato people (@kotpp11.bsky.social)
I’m convinced #nufc want JSL in as number 9. Those two in the team gives us a seriously dangerous squad. JSL missing from this weekends game too. 👀👀
King of the potato people (@kotpp11.bsky.social) reply parent
I actually think you’ll be better this season, he just tends to put pressure on himself with the stuff he comes out with. Perhaps it’s just a language thing.
King of the potato people (@kotpp11.bsky.social)
Forget Isak, or any of the players - Eddie Howe is the most important figure at #nufc
King of the potato people (@kotpp11.bsky.social)
Isak only goes if we get a second striker in. Who is that? Wissa and JSL moves are blocked. Unless there’s movement on one of those deals or we pull another rabbit out of the hat then Isak stays. #nufc
King of the potato people (@kotpp11.bsky.social)
This is where the transfer games really hot up. If Liverpool sit and wait for #nufc to sign a second striker then they know they’ll be able to drive his price down - we will have to sell up. It’s going to be a game of brinkmanship.
King of the potato people (@kotpp11.bsky.social)
Some great highlights, he looks a player. One thing that this also highlights is his assists and ability to bring other players into the game. #nufc
King of the potato people (@kotpp11.bsky.social) reply parent
Are you ok babe?
King of the potato people (@kotpp11.bsky.social) reply parent
It’s an odd situation because if we sign two strikers then we HAVE to sell Isak. That gives Liverpool the upper hand in terms of transfer fee. If we only sign one striker & insist Isak stays then it drives his fee up. #nufc
King of the potato people (@kotpp11.bsky.social)
If we sign the German Peter crouch then it only strengthens our hand with regards to Isak. £150m or jog on. #nufc
