They may be deployed , however this gives every soldier/guardsman a legal way out of not reporting as if a judge says it’s against the law, that would in fact make it an unlawful order to which they can under UCMJ can refuse. Or they can suit up and be armed up and fight with we the people!
Everyone takes notes. This is how it’s done. Human rights are not bargaining chips. You don’t throw marginalized groups under the bus to negotiate with someone who has ill intentions and bad faith.

Just curious what branch you served in and what years. Because as a vet from the 80s we never even really discussed politics at all. We all knew we were allowed and expected to disobey unlawful orders. They just have to know the judges ruling to let them know the orders are unlawful.
Especially now that it’s been ruled illegal by a judge.
