I don't think its controversial but game developer Hideo Kojima was heavily inspired buy the early Bond films to help create the universe & franchise of Metal Gear. Hell the SnakeEater theme is essentially a Bond opening theme lol

I'm interested. My only issue is that steep price for essentially a glow-up. Like you I own the previous versions and $60-$70 dollars for just better graphics doesn't sit right with me.....for now anyway. Also doesn't help that the entire project is devoid of Kojima so it feels soulless in a way 🤔

Same! This is gonna sound fake but I've been pleasantly surprised at just how much funnier I'm finding the modern episodes. The trope about "It used to be funny" does not hold up imho. I've been laughing my ass off at most of the episodes lol It's a lot darker than people remember, humor wise.
This probably doesn't add anything to conversation but I am currently retroactively watching every Simpsons season but I'm doing so backwards, meaning I started with the most recent streaming season (S31 I think) and working backwards to season 1. Will be interesting to watch the shift in tone.

Huge fan of the first Season. Season 2 is Season 1 turned up to 11. So far its bonkers lol Highly recommend Creature Commandos as well. Its not as directly linked to the beginning of the DCU as Peacemaker and Superman but it was the first thing Gunn did for the DCU. Its such a good show!
As a DC fan who has willingly suffered through over 10 years of the DCEU being much maligned in media and mostly being a punchline for toxic MCU content creators, its a breath of fresh air for this DCU to not only be positively received, but now preferred 😊
