On the news side, only @baylisswagner.bsky.social at the Statesman and the Uvalde Leader produced credible coverage. The @texastribune.org covered it, but @alexnguyen.bsky.social's stories repeated unrebutted lies long after they'd been disproven, and wasn't worth much.
This baffles me because journalists in theory are primary users of such records and shd be among the staunchest advocates for transparency. But no major paper has joined the Uvalde Leader in criticizing the push for opacity. Craig Garnett deserves a lot of credit for that.
