Post-op Day 7: I added a donut seat cushion to my wishlist. I stopped taking narcotics for pain relief to reduce constipation, which now means that *every* body part, inside and out, is hyper sensitive. My GI tract thinks my suffering is hilarious, and I'm too tired to complain.

Post-op Day 3: I feel stronger every day, and I also realize how fragile bodies are. Everything is connected to the abdomen in some way, and laughing hurts. I'm terrified to tear a stitch, or get an internal infection. I can do basic functions alone, but I can't lift anything.
Day 2 post op and I feel much better. I am showered, moisturized, and my GI tract is finally waking up. Confirmation that the light at the end of the tunnel is not a train.
