Now that they're teens, they eat EVERYTHING in sight.
That's my oldest. He would take like three bites, go, "Mmmm, this is delicious. I'm full."
We also just put away the food once they left the table. Youngest felt/feels like most things are "a waste of time" so we let him be excused with the caveat that was it until the next meal.
Do you use any cues for beginning and endings of meals? Like a song/blessing/grace? That can be helpful as signals in the toddler phase. Don't worry, you'll get there with the lads.

Eventually some of the boxes just break down over time and then I transfer those into baggies with whatever pieces of the box are necessary for rules/puzzle picture.
I'm a box purist and honestly most game/puzzle boxes aren't very tall so we slide them under beds when there isn't room in the closet.

I worry that this might seem sort of inside baseball-y to people, but the federal government funds the courier service that allows libraries to share books with each other. So if your local doesn't have a book you want, your library can get it from another library at no cost to you.
