it's also been funny to watch the rules around pharma ads evolve. at first they could just advertise it. then they had to list the potential side effects and did it on 3x speed. now they have to say it slowly so people can understand them. so there's no time left for the positive branding. iconic.
god american pharma commercials are just so insane. like every part of the ecosystem that results in these ads is so broken and exploitative and then we get ads for specific prescription medications and the voice over tells you how the medication could harm you. it's straight absurdism. unserious!
