The answer to the church vs. state in education conumdrum is vouchers. I taught, and my two boys were educated in the public school system. My siblings had the money to send their children to religious schools. Give parents the funds they need to make a choice. Many religious schools are fabulous.

I think Big Pharma wants to make as much money as possible from the few people (covered by insurance for weight loss) and the rich "skinny bitches" who can pay the full price. The rest of us folks need to stay as obese as possible so that we become sick from diabetes and cardiovascular disease.
What is the downside to weight loss? Wegovy WAS covered by my insurance, and I lost 20 lbs over the last 8 months. I need to lose 20 more lbs at least to have a "Healthy Weight" BMI. At 66 yo I just don't have the energy to walk more than 30 min./day. Yes, I do eat a balanced diet of healthy foods.
