Nothing about any of this is good for my mental health. Caring about policy, persuasion, strategy, outcomes, it’s all for naught. I wish it was different, I wish we mattered, but we are just snowflakes trying to reverse a goddamn avalanche. Our country does not agree with us. Our neighbors are bad.

I have been saying this for something like 15 years and I am so tired, folks: the tactics. Of the right. Don't work. For the left. Because their politics are divisive and anti-community. Ours aren't. They win when politics is toxic and vicious. We win by building solidarity.
