Not to be pedantic, but he didn't make comments on Kirk. He commented on Trump and MAGA using Kirk for political gain and to assail Trump's enemies.

Manufacturing again lost jobs last month. Despite presidential promises of a manufacturing renaissance, we have fewer manufacturing jobs today than we did at the start of the pandemic in 2020.
