They would be working off the budget that expired this past Sept 30. There are some funding changes but so few that the Republicans are calling in a clean CR. (The changes still matter.) This CR has 99 pages, while a full budget has many thousands of pages.
The US federal fiscal year begins Oct 1, so that's why they want a CR through Sept.

We just walked into places that looked good and were never disappointed. A friend loves the tapas food tours there, but I didn't have time for that. You MUST see a Flamenco show! (We went to Portugal to see about moving there and stopped in Madrid. I liked Portugal a lot, but prefer Spain.)
I visited Madrid for three days, June 30 - July 2, in 2023. I prefer hot, so I might not be one to judge, but I don't remember heat being an issue. And, it didn't feel too crowded either. I loved everything about my time there - the people, the food, the culture.

It's true. I used to be a school principal. If a student gets injured, we have to call emergency personnel. I always worried about the family having to pay the bill for my decision. The school doesn't pay.
