And while the right wing story was constantly changing, the police report and the story from the teenagers both remained consistent. The teenagers say that big balls was harassing and trying to pick up the 15-year-old girl, and when he wouldn't leave her alone the boy jumped in to defend her.

Kirk was 31, Fuentes is 27. That's not particularly much of an age difference? Is Fuentes' "Groyper Army" generally much younger than Fuentes himself? This suspect is 22, so that is getting a bit younger than both.

The fairness doctrine is clearly unconstitutional though. "Congress shall make NO LAW. . . abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press". A fairness doctrine tells the press what they have to publish. At the end of the day, voters have to learn to actually listen to the good journalists.

Nobody should ever depend on any social media platform as the primary/only way of saving their art. For exactly this reason. Or the fact that a platform could go bust and shutdown.

Yeah, people might want to change capitalism to some other system, like Democratic Socialism or whatever, but until that happens, you gotta live within the capitalist system somehow. That doesn't make you a hypocrite it just makes you alive.

... and gave the Court of Federal Claims jd on the other issue. Which could be legally correct, but still a massive clusterduck. I'm sure Congress, having seen the mistake they made, will jump right on fixing that problem. . .

So, the claim they are making, I think, is that Congress is responsible for this mess? Because Congress has Constitutional authority to specify what courts have what jurisdiction over what, and it seems they are saying their hands are tied because Congress gave the District court jd on one issue and

Oh the irony of Trump's FBI raiding an official's residence on charges of mishandling classified documents. Why should anyone give a duck about anyone mishandling documents anymore?

That does reflect real life, didn't it? I would say the point of that standing up for what's right will often lead to ridicule and lies, etc. Seems like the point the author was trying to make. That seems like a good lesson for kids - do what's kind and right, not what's easy and popular.

Are you referring to Harry? What slave does Harry own? I read the novels once, a long time ago. I recall Harry freeing a house elf, dobby. I'm not sure what you are referring to about him owning a slave. Is that from the original novels, or one of the sequels?

. . . It is then up to the reader to walk away from the book feeling uncomfortable and inspired to change the real world. If I were writing novels, I would absolutely fill them with problems, and not resolve most of them, so as not to let the reader off the hook emotionally.

That part, yes, to an extent. I agree she could have done more to have Harry, Hermoine, etc fight for reforms. But really, the point of literature isn't to write about fixes for ever problem in the world. It's to hold up a mirror to the real world, to confront readers about the problems. It is. . .
