They still have to do the “5 things I did this week”, have to ensure they don’t use algorithm words (ie, women), and are deathly afraid their pensions/401ks will be denied since they were “fired” not laid off. Or there’s no one left in Personnel to know what they are owed on termination.
Mass layoffs in pvt co’s protect the ee’s by the WARN Act which requires 60 days advance notice that the layoffs will occur on X date, provide COBRA, etc. The Fed’l ee’s are being FIRED FOR (bogus) CAUSE which makes them ineligible for unemployment, COBRA, etc. Many are in small towns w/ no jobs.

Qs should focus on the future. Should ask about the bird flu/Marburg-both on our doorstep. What has he learned about em (he’s read up on in prep for new job)? How would he determine how to react? who would he consult? On whose advice would he rely? what measures would he be willing to take, etc?
Trump and Elon think that the skill, experience & clearances for these kinds of jobs can be found anywhere. These aren’t like business or tech jobs where skilled employees are a dime a dozen. Unless they plan to hire from the SVR/FSB/KGB—nothing like having Russian moles within the FBI.

You know what, if that’s what happens then that’s what we deserve. Despite everything, the majority voted. My hope is that Trump is an abysmal failure. I will not write a congressperson to ask them to intercede. The Republicans need to own ALL OF THIS.
Where to watch if can’t attend?
Not giving up. Stepping back. Voters spoke. I think they were wrong. But I think the only way to rid ourselves of MAGA is to let Trump & his minions fail spectacularly. It will be agonizing & painful. Meanwhile the Dems need to rebuild. Too short on good leadership within its ranks.
