I cook in it all the time. Literally the best lamb chops. Any meat can be well seasoned and then just thrown in there for 18 minutes. Burgers too. Toss veggies in olive oil and roast. Frozen foods come out better reheated. Grilled cheese sandwiches. I could go on.
i think i want to take the plunge, more for what you are cooking than “frying.” i like the look of the stainless steel ones with glass doors, big enough to roast a big chicken.
thx. our oven is fine for baking but never been very satisfied with its broiling. but we could use a convection oven as a kind of supplement/sub for oven most of the time.
you never used yours for like broiling salmon or reheating something you want crispy? (wings/etc?)
it could be that another member of the household bought the toaster oven we have that is huge and can only be used to toast sliced bread. it has done its time/served its purpose
