As a solo mom, I find it appalling that I may have to drop my 19 yr old son off my health insurance plan next year. He’s struggling to find a decent job that has any benefits in this environment. I don’t have a big income. Already paying over $600 p/mo for 2 damn people! It’s ridiculous!

I had to use both for my child as a solo mom. I was laid-off and had a hell of a time finding a new job. I finally found a new job, but I did everything I could to stay afloat. Uber, Lyft, painted people’s cabinets, sold stuff, etc. I was lucky. I only used those services for 6 months.
I got the same thing! Your average SS recipient is receiving about $20k per year in benefits, so their income from SS is already under a taxable range. The standard deduction is $15-30k.
