That Pritzker press conference was... surreal, and I think marks a significant moment of escalation in the constitutional omni-crisis. This was the governor of a state saying plainly the Union itself is being torn apart and his state is being militarily invaded by an authoritarian regime.

Pritzker is doing two things here that are smart. One, he's describing this forcefully and unapologetically and in his own terms, not adopting the Admin/media frame. Two, he's making clear that he will blame the Admin for any violence or disorder sparked by their invasion of his state.
On the day they release this they announce an invasion of American cities and the decision to move space command to perhaps the deepest notoriously red state in our history. Everything must been seen in our new context.
