There are many versions of this kind of image out there. The best ones illustrate why “better cars” will never be more than part of the answer, and actually help “lock in” the #CarDependency that’s the real problem. They also show why status-quo interests usually want to focus on the vehicles.

I finished my novel challenge last month! Since the official NaNoWriMo is dead, I decided to just do the challenge in August, since November is a hell month for students. This also meant I got an extra day 😉 I've now done 14 challenges in a row!

it's fun to complain about but honestly I'm pretty pragmatic about it - it's a trade-off for some pretty good stuff about the apts like a huge shared water heater, meaning we don't pay for that electricity!

Want a happy city? Build for bikes. So pleased to see Minneapolis continuing to be on this list & can personally confirm: I am happier here than anywhere I've ever lived. And a huge factor in that is my ability to live a less car dependent life with my family.
