People mistake blue collar workers for what they imagine to be blue collar aesthetics or culture signaling too much. When you talk about “blue collar,” I’m gonna insist you say what you really mean.
It looks like some people are finally coming to grips with the idea that we will never be able to good policy our way out of this. Good policy functions as the morally superior choice, not the politically savvy one.

The bottom line is that we cannot force people to want things (money, jobs, healthcare, vaccines, saving the environment) more than they want to own the libs. Given the choice some folks seem to prefer death to liberal rule.
Very few people seem to be willing to grapple with the fact that white rural and exurban areas overwhelmingly voted to close their own hospitals. Like, what the fuck are we supposed to do with that?
