Georgism is the only worldview that prioritizes the one constant of all people: the need to have economically useful space with which to transform resources via labor. The failure to guarantee this via a land value tax informs the polarized worldview of the vast majority without them knowing it.
The irony of this is that the Supreme Court justified this racism by basically saying "we are protecting the 'rights' of the vast majority of law abiding Americans by allowing profiling of swarthy dark people who can be presumed to be criminals," but then the vast majority of Americans disagreed.

There are only 2 "solutions" to this problem: 1. Carve out large contiguous portions of existing states that keep the major blue areas in a majority blue state (eastern Carolinas, northern IL, etc.). 2. Blue MSA exclaves that are not as big as areas from #1 but keep an economic region intact.
I'm not against the concept of blue cities being governed by red areas due to the inevitable fact that in a democracy there will always be a "governing/governed" dichotomy, but in the "national divorce" there will be an asymmetry of what MAGA will consider theirs compared to non-MAGA.
One of the issues with a "national divorce" is of course how to split up the assets. MAGA fascists will demand areas like eastern OR/WA be part of MAGA-land despite them being "in blue states" but will also demand Charlotte and Atlanta remain part of MAGA-land because they're "in red states."

I think that there is something in the human brain that cannot get past a rural framework of social organization that contributes to NIMBY attitudes. People think of neighborhoods as more important than regions, but regional organization is what fuels the economic progress they take for granted.

Media elites want to whitewash and run cover for Kirk because they don't want to believe that one's words (or lack of words) should be held against them as part of a discussion of one's legacy because they are feeling bad about their own legacies that are being defined by the Trump era.
