Nirvana for impact. Pearl Jam for range. Could even say Soundgarden for really kicking the door open for Seattle based bands

Fair's fair! Release by Pearl Jam...the Point, 1996. It was missing from my cassette copy of Ten, but they opened with it and it blew me away.

Is it cheating to suggest an entire band? Oasis supporting REM at Slane 95. Was not arsed at all, but they were unbelievably good that day

Brought my English wife to Collins Barracks. Asked her why she was so mad. "How would you like it if you had to confront your country's crimes". Well quite. But they're not her crimes. The thing about the past is to learn from it, not judge the present

Perhaps, one day, schoolkids will study this squalid little chapter in British terror-panic history. When they do, I hope these two headlines from today are printed side by side, with clear annotation of which individual faced more outrage and condemnation.

Headline: BBC under pressure to pull Sally Rooney dramas over vow to fund Palestine Action Headline: Tory minister Robert Jenrick pictured with former Nazi terror chief at far right protest.

@hfcouncil.bsky.social good morning. Just wanted to check why the cycling lane wands along shepherd's Bush green have been removed, and if there are any plans to reinstate? It did make that stretch of road a little safer for cyclists and would be great to see it back.

So, financial support for firms in tough times. What about the countless people waiting on proper healthcare, housing, education...the water. Absolute basics?

Even if you open the gates and flood Gaza with aid now, hundreds of thousands of people will die and or have severe life limiting experiences. Injuries and injustices that will last for decades. And yet long after that the stain on the countries who facilitated this will remain.

If he did it on a bike you can be sure the headlines would be spread far and wide. The normalisation of carbrain is a horrible thing

@secondcaptains.bsky.social with this news, surely it's time for Grunge week again. The king of drummers.

Love it! We had a similar issue where tooth fairy management had to issue a grovelling apology letter along with suitable compensation...keeping yours for future emergencies!
