Destiny continues to be a disaster for user interface design on console games. I do not want to navigate menus with a mouse cursor that I move with the left stick, I want to use the D-Pad like a normal console game.

I’m actually shocked that my laptop can handle 2XKO, though I wouldn’t be surprised if Riot’s anti-cheat is costing me performance. Still, it runs better than Strive or Granblue do on the same computer at lower settings.

I don’t think I’ll be a long-term player of the game, mostly because of Riot Games, but I’d like to see if my laptop can do it.
After work, I want to attempt to run 2XKO on my laptop since I got in the Closed Beta. Maybe it’ll be okay, since it’s an esports game? But I’ve also been let down by Strive and GBFVR on it, the latter was 60FPS until I used Gran’s 5U.

I’m hoping that the recent EVO news inspires a new major in California. It’s weird to me that 40M people live there, yet the closest major was always EVO in Nevada
Every time F2P fighting games are released, it always becomes harder to get into them as time progresses. Could you imagine trying to get into 2XKO in 2027 and having to grind for hundreds of hours to have the whole roster, or pay more than several other games to get everyone?
2XKO really should’ve just been a $60 game with DLC packs. Every piece of news I hear about that game, I’m more and more convinced that free-to-play fighting games cannot work unless it’s like Granblue Fantasy Versus Rising where the free version is more like a demo.
I believe they said the open beta will transition into the full launch. It’s not a Multiversus situation where it’ll be in beta for a year, and then disappear for a year before the full launch.
