I get what you're saying though! I'm working on a YA dragon fantasy and decided that any sort of large scale fire breathing is very taxing and they basically need to sleep and eat for a day after. Just makes it so they can't completely overpower everything.
Just need to do something like it's really taxing, so he turns it off/blocks it out to go about normal life. Also opens up plot points for things to go unnoticed by him at times.

Using "page" is so strange to me. Paper, font , margin size? Love short chapters and keep them around 1k words. I hit sprees where I knock out 3 chapters when all my planning is done. Google says 3k words is like 12 pages. So, I could do it if I didn't have a job, etc, but not sure on quality
Older kids at my school call me "unc", which I've learned is new slang for an older male who gives/gets respect. Not sure how it became a common word (read it came from African American/Caribbean culture) but I really like it.
