A hopeful mourning is absolutely the feeling.
Definitely grew on me over time, it's not an album that blew me away the first couple times I heard it.
I also have it near the top of my list. I have several of their records and New Adventures gets the most play. Itās got a strong vibe. Leave is definitely one of their best but imo itās got like half a dozen Stone Cold Classics up and down the tracklist. If New Adventures in Hi-Fi has one fan, etc.
