These are preventable accidents, so it’s hard to feel anything but anger at people who are stupid enough to think using their phone while driving is more important than being a safe responsible driver that shares the road with others.
Anecdotally, my wife and I both drive through evening rush hour traffic (her north, me south), and we’ve both noticed an increase in car accidents over the last 5 years. 20 minute drives turn into 40, and if there’s a fatality it can get up to 2 hours or more because they shut the freeway down.
We need to talk about #DistractedDriving. It’s the top reason for car accidents, and it’s almost always because of shit like this. There is literally NO FUCKING REASON to do this. Connect your phone with Bluetooth or hardwire, use the car play function, and fuck off with this bullshit.
