This is an argument I've gotten into with other teachers and admin, and I don't understand how I'm always in the minority on this. If we don't believe there's value in what we're doing, how can we expect students to? They can tell when we're phoning it in or using AI and they tune out.

When the dust settled, the Supreme Court ruled time and again that the US government could not put suspected terrorists in a black hole at Guantanamo Bay, but that they had fundamental legal rights. Surely undocumented immigrants have at least the same level of rights as suspected terrorists.
