I’d presume it’s a combo - practical for close up/stationary shots, CGI for wide/movement. Pretty cool nonetheless, they could have just gone full CGI so fair play 👏

Gladiator II: I had fairly low expectations. Decided to try think of it as a standalone film &, while quite ham fisted at times, was indeed entertained…6.5/10 on 1st watch. Would have preferred not to know Mescal’s character origins beforehand & overall felt it lacked the emotional punch of the 1st.
Fair play to Red Ron, that’s the second consecutive break he’s done that
Been listening to The Rewatchables ‘True Tomance’ episode; as always it makes me want to immediately watch the film so I went and paid $60 for the 4k steelbook…like I needed an excuse
Friend of mine went to BladeRunner 2049; plenty of seats available but found a guy sitting in his when he arrived. Asked him to move…he moved one seat over and then farted throughout the film
