Omg yeah I can definitely see that! Tarkovsky’s Solaris is very challenging with the themes of, purpose, science, and love. I’m sure there are some qualities with Soderbergh’s take, I love Steven too, but yeah I can see Tarkovsky is still more lenient on the complexity of its own themes.

Yeah for sure, I couldn’t help but see David Lynch himself projected into this. I can only imagine the every day kindness he’s delivered to random strangers, despite having a unique past. So much weight and heart was put into that story with little words said, it left me teary eyed by the end.
You should! It’s so full of life and emotions along with good lessons.

An aspect I admire that I don’t see a lot of people talking about is the ADR and sound editing. James and the team seem to know how to create an engaging authentic sound quality that feels appropriate for this world like the smallest things to him wheezing and him getting hit

I can definitely see why, it’s truly a fasnataing one how although it’s about an investigation on a rapist murderer the true core of the story feels more of a dissection at ourselves and how we tend to behave to the point we lose ourselves their struggle and anger finding this killer is so felt
