Someone on IG tried to play the Princess has cancer card in response to my saying she got extensions. Bitch, please. My mom died from metastatic breast cancer. My mother's wig was better than this current PoW situation, and my mom certainly didn't have access to that kind of money or healthcare.
I still think the layers below the crown are a combination of extensions and her real hair. Mary has been telling her clients for years that if they want the classic Kate Middleton hair pre-Covid era they would need extensions. Regardless, it is a horrible look: I'd gladly send her to Mary to fix it

I have a very odd question. How does the fabric feel? Does it make you get hot? I try and buy cotton whenever possible, but it looks like their skirts are 95% polyester. Their products look fantastic, but I'm going through menopause and breathable fabrics are a must.
I loved The Calculating Stars! I immediately thought of your love for The Right Stuff. I can't decide if you'd like it. The author had to take a few liberties with the timeline, but she's able to support that change with her notes at the end of the book.
Senior Sunrise was a success. The Teen has an old digital camera and all of her classmates are obsessed with it and beg her to take their picture. She convinced the principal to have his photo taken holding up the Senior Sunrise poster board frame she made.
I finished up Mary Robinette Kowal's book The Calculating Stars last night. Neither Libby nor Hoopla have the sequel, and I refuse to buy an ebook on Amazon for $12.99. I found it on Barnes & Noble for $6.99 for the ebook, and while not ideal, at least I get to finish the series.

I'm so offended that a stylist allowed her to walk out the door like that! I know plenty of brunette Southern ladies who decided to go blonde because they didn't want to keep up with dying their gray roots, but go with a tone that suits your skin tones!
She has access to obscene wealth, and that's the best her stylist can do? You can get a head full of custom K-tips down the block for like $2,000. I will never understand when someone with access to that sort of money ends up with a poorly done hair service.
My stylist Mary's best friend was also a stylist. Heather specialized in extensions. Heather died a year ago, and I'm so mad she's not hear to discuss the extentions the PoW is sporting. I know Heather is rolling in her grave at that poorly done color match.

The nice thing about my dad's PCP is that it is a block from the assisted living facility. It is a steep incline, but damn, it was so beautiful out there today. Dad saw his first Waymo, and he got to see the latest Corvette. Dad is a car guy, so it was an A+ outing for him.

Banana bread is in the oven! I have started a load of laundry, specifically a load of the spouse's socks. The man has a lot of socks. I bought sock clips for the laundry about 20 years ago, and they are still holding up.
I filled out the paperwork for an upcoming appointment for the kid. I am about to make gluten-free banana bread. Once that is in the oven I will unload and reload the dishwasher!

I'm really good at stain removal and laundry. Buying sustainable clothes is the ideal, and if you can't afford those then the best way to maintain your Old Navy shirts is to only wash them when visibly dirty or when they smell, then wash them on the coldest/ gentlest cycle appropriate & hang to dry!
I just hung another load of delicates to dry. Another load of clothes is in the washer.
In an attempt to eat food from the freezer I have gotten the bananas out to defrost to make banana bread.
Towels have been folded and put away by the spouse and teen. One load of clothes is in the dryer. One is hanging to dry, and another just went in the wash.

We have lived in our house for 21 years. Our AC unit is 43 years old. We have had the two highest electric bills ever in the last two months. Going through menopause means I have to have the AC at 73°. I cannot stand it above that. We might have to suck it up and replace it this fall.
