Getting the boiler serviced and I’m reminded of the time a few years ago when I thought the man who did it was suspiciously quick, so I phoned up British Gas and said next time please send someone to do it right, and they did, and the boiler was condemned.
Day in, day out, I speak to ordinary people who are organising to welcome the asylum seekers accommodated in their towns. They befriend, support them, reach out to them as fellow human beings. That's the Britain I know, the one I see around me & we never get told about on TV.

Went to the farewell party for a theatre company I acted with back in the day. I think acting bonds you very deep, very fast, doesn't it? Absolutely exhausted emotionally but very happy to see so many lovely ppl and share so many memories.

An old friend let me play the most gorgeous acoustic guitar i've ever played last night - a Jimmy Moon, spruce top, swamp wood back and sides. Such a well-balanced tone, not too chimey, not too boomy, silky action, fairly compact body. I didn't ask how much it was but I'm dying to know.
