That just ruined my week.
I spelled "fuck" on my friend's Speak 'N Spell, and his mom came rushing in to stop me right as I got to K.

Bluth stuff was always so pretty. I read earlier this year about live action "Dragon's Lair" adaptation in the works, and just didn't see the point. Part of the reason those games were popular was the gorgeous Bluth art. Who wants to see "some guy" as Dirk in real life? Give me more cartoons.

For people who have worked, or otherwise spent a lot of time in hospitals... I just spent 5 days inpatient for a planned procedure and am now home recovering. But there is this smell so deeply seated in my sinuses that everything smells like the hospital. How do I get rid of it? What is the secret?

On this issue, yes. On redistricting. He isn't fighting for the homeless. He isn't fighting for trans people.

No one is criticizing the blows he is landing. People are criticizing because he's being talked about as a savior, when he generally sucks, and are then are being accused of wanting Trump to win again when all they want is someone who can do both - fight back and represent them.
Yes, he is doing some good things regarding redistricting and generally being a nuisance to Trump. But, instead of criticizing "purity tests," maybe don't lionize someone who generally sucks because they do one or two things right.
If so, you should ask yourself why you are pushing members of these marginalized groups, and other antifascists to blindly support someone who has shit policies on homelessness, and agrees with anti-LGBT rhetoric. And who goes on podcasts and pals around with fascists.
I assume you consider yourself an LGBTQ ally. And I assume you consider yourself an advocate for the homeless. And I assume you hate Nazis and fascists.
I imagine that this "patrol" will take him to the Lincoln Memorial, and maybe the Washington Monument. And he'll get to each via motorcade.

No. We don't want another Trump. But we also don't want someone who treats certain people like trash. Or someone who makes nice with those who treat people like trash.
But as soon as someone says "Newsome sucks for a number of reasons," they got inundated with people saying, "what, you want another Trump?"
Yes, which is what most of the people disliking him are unhappy about. For me, it was his policies and treatment of unhoused people that made me realize he sucks.
Fine. He doesn't need to be leader of the country. No one is saying he shouldn't do these good things. We're saying he should suck less on the other stuff. And if he can't suck less, find someone who is good on all these things to support.
Good things still do happen.
You can support the move, but you don't have to support the person. Fighting back is good. It's good that he is. It doesn't make him not suck on a lot of other things. It doesn't mean he has to lead the country.
Again, I support the redistricting move. I do not support Gavin Newsom as a person, or a future president. Redistricting in response is a great move. Go do it. I appreciate it and applaud it. He still sucks.
And that starts by not supporting someone who sucks like Gavin in the primaries.
Well then, lets strive to pick someone who doesn't suck as much as Gavin does. That's what we should be talking about, rather than "you have to vote for Gavin if he's the nominee." It's the wrong battle to be fighting right now. Fight to get someone who does the right things first.
You can applaud the redistricting move. It's good. All the blue states should follow. But that doesn't make him our candidate for 2028. Because he sucks on a number of things and we shouldn't just anoint him because he is doing 1 good thing.
I applaud him for the recent fight on redistricting. But he's not a good person and I do not want him as my President. The Twitter stuff has been kind of fun, but just because he's the vocal one right now doesn't make him best or only chance we have in 3 years.
