Okay im done with Deltarune chapter 4!! As anticipated, youtube algo immediately tried to fuck me over lmao but now im in the CLEAR, HAH!! Now i can also listen to the soundtrack and see the track names without fear of spoilers. The music these chapters have been incredible

I just finished ch3 last night and played a little bit into ch4! I put some of my thoughts in the pics below. They're just screenshots of text, but i flagged them as graphic media as a form of spoiler control. There's nothing graphic about them!!

During game board 1 i got all the quiz questions about Kris wrong (the time limit makes me panic ok!!) and I cant believe i didnt even notice until the end that KRIS WAS TRYING TO TELL ME THE RIGHT ANSWERS 😭 i thought i just accidentally over-pressed the buttons while cycling thru the answers, and by the time i registered seeing Kris actively changing the answer selection it was too late I felt so bad i redid about 40 minutes of gameplay to not let kris down, im so sorry kris pls forgive me 🙇‍♀️ I was also so conflicted about the video game in the S rank vip room. Give me a sword and imply that i have to get stronger by killing enemies that arent even harming me?? Toby fox has fully broken me, so i dont want to make Kris kill anything to proceed, even if it's just a game within the game 🥺 (Yes i understand the enemies were in fact attacking me in level 2, but i still didnt want to make kris do it) I simultaneously am and am not overthinking this lmao Ive decided: I'll play with one file only, so i must commit to all my actions and decisions. And pacifist approach only, so i wont play the bideo game and will just see how that goes What did i miss out on because of that decision? Who knows, I'm sure i'll find out via YouTube later. Also, its clear now that the Roaring Knight is not Kris. They seem to have.. antlers...?? Is it Dess I wonder?? And what does this tell us about Kris' actions then? Are they opening portals to dark worlds to confront the Roaring Knight, or to assist them? Why open the door, and slash the car tires to create a situation for Undyne to appear? Why put their own mother at risk? WHAT DID KRIS SEE THAT WE DIDNT WHEN THE BUNKER DOOR OPENED??? (Did the knight kick my ass real fast? Yes. Yes they totally did.)

I haven't played Moon in a while (and still need to finish it, oops), but the grainy 3Dish appearance of his sprite and his voice sfx are really reminiscent of how the characters appear and sound in that game. It's no secret that Undertale was inspired by Moon, and the TV plays a big role in Moon too, so that's a neat little homage to include in Deltarune.
