You Tube is a treasure trove for wrestling matches. Just found a tag match from NOAH in 2007. KENTA & Taiji Ishimori vs Naomichi Marufuji & Kota Ibushi. Ibushi looks about 15, so skinny and fresh faced. This was after the famous KENTA/Maru team split. So crowd are white hot for them. Great match. 🤼

Just finished Bandido v Hechicero match from ROH last night. What an absolute banger. Two guys who were just born to work each other. The shifts in momentum, the changes of pace and intensity, all perfect. The crowd were white hot. Wrestling at the highest level. Loved that match so much. 🤼
Bandido is the guy that Andrade thought he was. AEW and ROH have got someone very special. 🤼

The AEW partnership with CMLL has to be one of the best moves TK has made. We get to see some of the best Luchadores in the world on national TV. They get treated with utmost respect (see Bandido’s push). Plus we get MJF/Mistico and the nuclear heat that brings. Arena Mexico shows etc. Such a win. 🤼

The TNT Sports presenter on the Chelsea v Fulham game has such a weird style. She laughs or seems on the verge of laughing whenever she speaks. Her tone of voice is right in that “talking to a kid” style that grates my ears. Seems like a Blue Peter presenter who has stumbled into football coverage.

I was thinking about this today when watching AEW. Due to the level of talent in The Don Callis family and I was trying to think of a stable with so many stars. I’d throw The Dangerous Alliance in there. They didn’t last long, but they burned bright. Always a favourite of mine.

Darby Allin v Claudio was insane. That table spot ala Bam Bam and Spike Dudley was fucking nuts. How Darby can work that cage match on Sunday, fly across the Atlantic and then work THAT match on Wednesday is beyond comprehension. What a brilliant Dynamite that was. AEW energy like no other. 🤼
That Hangman/Kenny angle was pure ECW booking. The run ins, the young guys helping out, the two stars uniting. AEW has always felt like PWG with a budget. But that sprinkle of ECW this week has been great on this show. 🤼

I just love natural commentary without all the forced lines and product placement you get in other places. Nothing takes away from the matches but the commentary still have great personalities that stand out.
That all star 8 man tag from AEW Dynamite was just brilliant. Everything that makes me a AEW fan in one match. THAT’S what the sickos live for. Tremendous piece of work right there. 🤼

The Stat/Harley v Ford/Bayne tag match was excellent. Everyone working great. Crowd red hot for it. The two power houses and their smaller, feisty partners really had top chemistry. Those AEW Women’s Tag Titles have to be coming soon. The talent is there for sure. 🤼

Yeah this isn’t coke v Pepsi. The two products are vastly different. They present two distinct styles. They have very different fan bases. AEW seem to have cottoned on to this and their shows have improved a lot. WWE has their style and either by habit or brand loyalty they have their fans.
