I used to credit him simply for being the stupidest person on Fox, which (a) he is, and (b) is quite an accomplishment, but (c) this is really kicking it up a notch.
The only way I can explain the fawning behavior of the professional centrist commentariat is that they see Kirk not as a serious ideological foe, but as a co-worker in an industry. A colleague. A fellow actor on the stage of infotainment. All of these people are in the infotainment industry.
This is all just being said out loud now on the air on Fox “News”, instead of away from the cameras like before. That’s what’s changed. They’re testing the response and normalizing the idea at the same time.
