Why do parents get to choose possible disease, disability or death for their children? They're not allowed to beat or starve their children. Why are they allowed to harm them by forgoing medical care? This seems abusive. Kids have the right to grow up, not paralyzed, not dead, if it's preventable.

We have some parents in our practice who choose to separate every vaccine. It means SO MANY MORE shots & doctor visits. And the kids hate it. I remember one older kid catching up on missed/delayed vaxs told his mom "Can't we just do more & get it over with?"

The maddening thing is that we know EXACTLY how to prevent this. Yes, kids should get vaccinated, test, stay home when sick, mask as much as possible. But even without any of that: Better ventilation and filtration in schools can MASSIVELY reduce viral spread, for all sorts of respiratory diseases.
