Before I used Letterboxd, I kept a film journal where I’d jot down the title, current date, and brief thoughts, if any. I never assigned a rating to anything. When I joined LB, I viewed it as a version of that journal. Nothing against anyone who uses it, the star rating scale just isn’t for me.
I agree. It’s disingenuous. Twitter is well past its prime, but it didn’t get to its peak overnight. I remember when Twitter was basically the text-only version of Facebook status updates.
