One thing Ron Friedman did that might get overlooked in the discussion about his work (largely because the faster production rate of the cartoon means the idea debuted there) is he pushed hard, and against Hasbro's belief girls have fleas, to get a woman Transformer into the film and franchise.

You can tell Dezaki's works (Ashita no Joe, Rose of Versailles, Aim for the Ace et al) were made by someone who really understands tasteful filmmaking - even when animation resources weren't the best, he drove home the emotions by allowing time for them, and framing them appropriately
I haven't personally watched any of Peter Chung's work (yet, Aeon Flux is high priority), but I have to signal boost his thoughts in this article. His comments on storyboarding and direction resonate with me a lot. He nails what makes Dezaki's work so impactful. (Also Space Cobra rocks)

I think a reason why a lot of British attempts at SFTV have failed in the last few decades is because they commission writers who are either utterly disinterested/dismissive of the genre or have not kept up with the genre and so they try to reinvent the car and end up with a Cybertruck.

Sailor on the Seas of Fate takes place during ‘Elric’s Gap Year’ when he leaves Melnibone after ‘Elric of Melnibone,’ but part of that book ‘The Jade Giant’s Eyes’ is a fix-up of a small press chapbook which originally took place post Tge Dreaming City.
But yeah, it looks great, even if incomprehensible if you’ve not read the book.
I’ve admittedly not actually gotten around to the extras yet.
I did pick it up when I had more disposable income, but I wish it had been close to a director’s cut.

Void Rivals is a fairly decent space opera comic, a genre that needs more rep in US comics (that isn’t SW or ST) but every so often, the plot stops dead to throw in some Transforners Lore (since this is part of the Energon Universe) and I can’t help but find that deeply cynical.
I saw this in a theatre with about 3 other people at 10 in the morning and it was one hell of an experience.
The movies don't really get into it, but it's worth remembering that Denethor went crazy because he spent too much time doomscrolling on the Palantír and it cooked his brain
