I mean, I put my name on it and am proud to do so, but that doesn't mean that I'm also not going to judge someone skeptical about signing it. Like I said before, that post that I quote-reskeeted just further shows why it's valid for some people to be skeptical about putting their name on public docs
I mean, I get that it's for a good cause (to protest against the rampant transphobia that is prevalent in Minnesota's Democratic Party Feminist Caucus), but I understand if some people are hesitant to put their name on something so public. That last post is further proof of why people would be.
I'm glad that it's only in Minnesota, but the fact that MN is now known as having the most trans people living here than any other state makes us a top target for the Trump administration. Anyone asking to put your name on anything in this state is completely forgetting who's in charge of the USA.
My mom's 80-year-old mother had the biggest crush on him when my mom was growing up. She adored him as well.

It got one of my coworkers to download Twitter and follow CK mainly because of all of this and all of the news agencies making it seem like he's "just a guy who calmly debates people". Like, their actions are causing a whole group of people to get indoctrinated in far-right politics.
Mind you, she was also able to be convinced to invest in cryptocurrency by a different coworker because according to him, "crypto is almost guaranteed to double in a couple of years", so there's that as well.

Really. It could be anything at this point. But the fact that so many conservative "journalists" are reversing course really helps to show that the shooter was one of their own who disagreed with Kirk on one too many key issues.
His death is really showing the more online people just how unpopular Charlie Kirk really was and how unpopular the conservative podcasters really are, especially regarding the general public. The fact that the vast majority of people had no idea who Kirk was when he died gives me some hope.

Like, it got so bad for him that in the last meeting yesterday, he spoke about how he's seriously considering skipping this year and possibly making a statue for the following year, mainly because he's worried about what the fallout to Kirk's death will be, especially regarding his followers.

Even the University of Phoenix — a college that my mom got her Associate's Degree from about 15 years ago — had a religious class that my mom attended and one of the assignments was to read parts of the Quran and talk to a Muslim person. People didn't care even as recently as then.

My mom's uncle died at the age of 6 in 1936. I forgot the disease that killed him. All I know is that he died nearly 10 years before his sister (my mom's mom) was born, so not even my grandma knew him personally.
My mom's dad (b. 1943, d. 1992) got polio and couldn't grow past the height of when he contracted it. My mom's mom's grandmother died at 39 years old of influenza during the "Spanish" Flu. Needless to say, both my mom's parents were (her mom still is) pro-vaccine.

So basically, with how much even many Democrats would be on the hook for being sent to the Hague, I doubt many (at least current) Democrats would even just consider joining the ICC.
It also doesn't help that joining the ICC would mean arresting every single living previous president (including the Dems), as well as the people who voted to approve those presidents' many war crimes. Joining the ICC would mean leaving the federal government even emptier than it currently is.
Something tells me that the US won't be joining the ICC any time soon, unfortunately.
