Honestly, every time a British person critiques US colonialism, I feel like the kid in that old anti-drugs commercial that was like I LEARNED IT FROM YOU DAD.
By not consulting with Indigenous people, not using accurate terminology, and repeating colonial myths as truth, that invisibility is rendered again and the colonial work continues even from someone ostensibly trying (not hard enough) to critique colonialism.

I believe there is justice in the afterlife, but even if I didn’t, I know that people like Trump are terrified of death. It’s not enough, not after everything he’s done, but him facing the slow creep of his greatest fear is at least something.
