Devils have been treating this last stretch of games like preseason games. They have to start taking their play seriously. Canes are going to give them a nasty reality check if they keep coasting.
There’s no replacing the excitement/anxiety brought on by moving up or down someone’s MySpace top ten friends list.
It’s time for Devils fans to accept that this is not a playoff team. We have no business even competing for a WC spot.
They are not playing like a playoff team. They beat up on bad teams then crumble against other postseason bound teams. Nothing about their play recently suggests they’ll be anything more than a 1st round exit.
Really enforcing that “merit-based” ideology aren’t they.

Only game(s) that give that same kind of feel is probably the Civilization series. It does have a combat element not in Ark Nova, but it’s not something you NEED to focus on to win.

Devils are going up against a rookie goalie making his NHL debut. This of course means the Devils will put up nearly 40 shots, but will only score 1 goal.
How might this compare to something like Heat? Sounds very similar.

Once again, some nhl team swoops in to bail the Rangers out of their own cap mess. Didn’t have to retain, didn’t have to add, and actually got assets back. Must be nice to have the entire league willing to bend over backwards for you.
Ranger fans learning what an extended losing streak is and now they want to ship everyone off, fire their coach and gm, and cry foul that no one wants to help them out with their lack of cap space.
While they may be Metro division rivals, I can empathize with what Isles fans are going through. Similar to mid-2010s Devils, the Isles have good goaltending and can see on paper how this team should work, but it just doesn’t. It likely won’t get better until the bottom out. #Isles

There can be if the Werewolves coordinate well enough. The tanner also needs to balance coming off as suspicious without being obvious that they’re the tanner.
