First day of school and the flags are flying at half-staff. Already. Again.
Teachers in my town started on Monday of this week — three days of professional development and room set-up — and today is their first day “with kids.” I wonder if the administrators who’ve worked off and on all summer thought of Monday as first day “with teachers.”
