The shortcuts aren't always steeper--in some places, they simply save time, apparently so they won't have to be in Nature a second longer than necessary lol.

That slice of #bluesky caught my eye, but the effect of the shrubbery (poison oak) in the resulting photo is the interesting part. It almost looks aged or out of focus.

Beautiful song. Even in my early teens, I found it weird and crass and sad that this song was used in commercials (for Lifebuoy soap, Ramada Inns, and Oatmeal Crisp cereal).
