While these people twist themselves into knots trying to justify his absolute craziness, people will suffer. Then they will do the same to explain the coming tragedies. I don’t think there is a bottom.

On Labor Day weekend, these National Guard members should be with their families at home, not doing chores in DC.
My figures are wrong: it's a quarter as much.
One important point is that it would cost about a third as much to house and feed every homeless person in DC as it is costing to keep the National Guard there, but of course that would be radical craziness.
In most cases, their employers are not paying them. SOME employers will make up the difference, but this is rare.
Don't forget that these Guard members have day jobs they are being called away from for this "emergency". Their employers are paying them to be away from their jobs to spread mulch and pick up trash.
It’s like if the news has anything else to cover, these shootings don’t get covered. Prime example is the CDC shooting, it barely got covered. Several universities have had bomb threats this fall. I think it’s going to be a bad school year for this stuff. We are in a bad place.
This should’ve been a much bigger story. Media is failing to report important stuff.
It is embarrassing beyond words how unprofessional these people act on a daily basis. What if I, as a teacher, had posted something making fun of a student who was expelled?

No, not true. Lake country is still beautiful and not covered in windmill farms. I was up there about three weeks ago and don’t recall seeing a windmill while driving thru the pines. I’m sure there are some.

Every time I read about something amazing that happened, it’s usually women and especially women of color that did it. It’s amazing and sad that they do not get the recognition they deserve at the same time.
I think he wants land and then in a few years start it up again. Europe knows this even if our President doesn’t. We can be a pariah or part of the free world.
I do see a benefit in world leaders intervening and saying no to his capitulation. It at least shows that he is out on a limb by himself and maybe that helps change some minds. I hope they say no giving up land and that they will band together to provide whatever Ukraine needs.

If Oklahoma and other states are going to test teacher candidates for “wokeness” through Prager U, I will tell you MN has teacher openings and loves to hire all types of qualified people dedicated to teaching all students.
