The updates have basically made it an entirely different game, it's insane how much they've added! If you can play with a buddy it'll make digesting the content easier. It is certainly overwhelming but also really fun if you get hooked.
I love this advice!! I like to make monsters akin to their environment or surroundings to flavor their move sets. Cue my high level party smugly approaching zombies only to have them scrum for multiple rounds, I love tweaking stat blocks to surprise them.

I've been a salty employee for ALL of my career. I just recently (three months ago) started a civil service job and it has dramatically improved my outlook. Look for something in the public sector or a union if you can, it's been truly life altering for me!
