JD Vance derailed the conversation early, Never in control, Trump easily headed down his tired grievance trail and stayed there. Thereafter, since they were all riled up, no work was done. Meanwhile, war continues, bloodshed, death. Just a shameful failure. I’m clear about what I saw today.
I’m truly disappointed. There was an opportunity for Ukraine, Russia and Americans today. Vance inserted himself needlessly and Trump’s ego wouldn’t allow him to lead. They behaved badly and wasted much.
Vance got nervous and screwed up the entire negotiation. He had no business being in the room. What we watched today was truly pathetic.
This in my view was a lowly, performative opportunity for American goons to puff up. Veep Vance pathetically pounced for personal points. and devolved it. Zelenskyy, is the only statesman in the room. Again, Americans looking like fools, believing something else.
