Tonight we watched THE THURSDAY MURDER CLUB, a pleasant and enjoyable cozy mystery with a stellar cast. It doesn't go very deep and it feels rushed at times, but overall we liked it. And good lord, Pierce Brosnan looks even more distinguished as an older man than he did in his prime!
Sad news.
There are a lot to choose from, but I think I'll go with "The One I Love."

I showed THE EXORCIST to Alexa today! She said it "wasn't as insane and terrifying" as she thought it would be, but she "liked it a lot." Unfortunately, she was not a fan of Lt. Kinderman, but you can't win them all!

I agree that the vet will offer the best information and solution. In the meantime, make sure to change Lola's drinking water every day to avoid bacterial infections and cat acne.

Seeing EXORCISTIC: THE UNAUTHORIZED ROCK MUSICAL PARODY the other night has made Alexa finally ready to watch THE EXORCIST, a film I've seen 100 times and she has never seen. I'm hoping to show it to her sometime over the long weekend!
The Xenomorphs in ALIEN: EARTH look too clean! They need to be goopier, with fewer visible details. (No spoilers, please! I've only seen two episodes.)

Last night, Alexa and I went to see EXORCISTIC: THE UNAUTHORIZED ROCK MUSICAL PARODY! We sat right up close to the stage. The cast was great, and the show was fun and silly, with songs like "Movie Star with a F*cked Up Kid" and "Your C*nting Daughter." The theater, Asylum NYC, was pretty cool, too.
My word, it's actually chilly this morning!
It's a weirdly modern title for such a gothic period piece.
Imagine having to attend a meeting like this and knowing the only way your job was safe was to constantly and blatantly kiss the boss's ass.

For me, that only came through time and experience. I can trust my instincts to tell me if my writing has taken a wrong turn, or needs to be punched up, or characters have achieved their goals too easily. It takes the form of writer's block, stopping me until I fix what needs to be fixed.
Such a terrible tragedy.

I watched "Sweet Revenge," the new FRIDAY THE 13TH short made in conjunction with Angry Orchard. I didn't dislike it, but it's nothing new. At least it's not the extended Angry Orchard commercial I was worried it would be, although the product placement is noticeable. It doesn't skimp on the gore.
Plus, all that on-screen pollen makes me want to sneeze!
I've never loved it. It always felt like less than the sum of it parts to me.
As a cord-cutter myself, it always feels like a weird luxury to have regular TV at a hotel. But then I start flipping through the channels and realize there's nothing I want to watch, and that's when I remember one of the major reasons I cut the cord: cable is hundreds of channels full of nothing.
When I start my day with quiet reading, I feel less on edge and more productive and content.
